Überall scheint er auf uns herab zu blicken, am Lago Llanquihue, am Rio Petrohué, im Parque Nacional Vicente Pérez Rosale, der u.A. seinem Schutz dient: Der Vulkan Osorno. Mit seinem sehr ebenmäßigen Konus und dem Kragen aus Schnee und Eis gilt er als einer der schönsten Chiles und eine Art „Fuji“ Südchiles. Mit 2652 m überragt er seine Umgebung. Eine Asphaltstraße führt hinauf bis auf 1200 m. Dort oben und unterwegs bieten sich herrliche Ausblicke, u.A. über den Lago Llanquihue.
Volcano Osorno
It seems to look down on us everywhere, at the Lago Llanquihue, at the Rio Petrohué, in the Parque Nacional Vicente Pérez Rosale, which among other things serves to protect it: the Osorno volcano. With its very even cone and collar of snow and ice, it is considered one of the most beautiful in Chile and a kind of „Fuji“ of southern Chile. At 2652 m, it towers over its surroundings. An asphalt road leads up to 1200 m. Up there and on the way there are wonderful views, including over Lago Llanquihue.
